Almost Official!

The adoption with my Sister's little boys is almost official! We received a conference call the 3rd week of February and after many days of court hearings they finally ruled for the re-unification with their mom to stop! What a roller coaster this has been.
Just last summer my sister was told that the boys would be going back to their mom. They started visits more frequent with their mom and started overnights with her even. Things that we don't know of happened and the overnights stopped completely!
Now since re-unification has stopped their visits have been decreased and will eventually stop completely. The judge wants the good-bye visit to happen ASAP! The mom's parental rights are going to be taken away in May hopefully and then they can start the adoption process. Hopefully by the end of the year it will be final! This was a HUGE milestone for them! They have had the boys since December of 2007 so we all are ready for this to be over.
One of the things just recently that they were finally able to do was cut their hair. Although the curls were cute and Bryan got lots of compliments of how cute of a girl he is, it was time. Bryan is almost 3 and Anthony is almost 2. Here are the new and improved nephews of ours! They are so cute!

Bryan & Anthony before their haircuts. They like to wear chip clips in their hair!

Here they are after their haircuts! They look so grown up all of a sudden! The mom has already complained about what they've done. But my sister was nice enough to give her a lock of their hair (wish she would have put a pink bow around it!).

I did tie a bow around it with blue rafia....I couldn't bring myself to do it with pink. We're so glad that people can now know we're adopting two *boys* ...not "oh, that's perfect, one boy and one girl"! Yeah, these were *much* needed haircuts!

Again, they are darling!! Stacie - we're so excited for you and Mark and the boys. Heavenly Father has known the time line all along and I'm sure He'll bless you all greatly very soon. Adoption is a beautiful thing and personally, I am so grateful to you and Mark for saving two amazing boys. That's a very selfless act!!

We're so grateful that the judge ruled the way he did. And Bryan and Anthony look sooo cute with their new haircuts! Bryan was cute before, but now he looks like a little boy! Stacie, you and Mark are truly amazing! Like Kelly said "you are saving two amazing boys"! Remember when Dad had to give the talk on adversity in Utah and what he felt?

Such great news!!! It's been a long time coming. I am so glad Stacie will have two cute little guys by her side. She is such a good mommy to them. They are lucky to have her, as she is to have them

That's cool that you put this information on your Blog. How did you get the pictures? Stacie and Mark have amazing faith. I remember last year when they attended the temple and they felt the spirit tell them that the boys would be theirs no matter how bleak things may seem. Their faith was so strong and true that their prayers were answered. Both boys have the most beautiful blond hair I've ever seen. So many woman pay a tons of money to get their hair dyed that color. I love their new look! The are handsome as ever! We love our nephews and cousins!
